Description

The aim of this training is to fine-tune surgical extraction skills and build confidence so that the attendees are prepared to properly and efficiently treat periodontal disease in their patients. Each day will begin with a lecture, followed by a hands-on lab to learn and practice the techniques. Topics include anatomy, x-ray interpretation, pain management, nerve blocks and oral surgery. Each participant will work on their own specimen with their own set of instruments with no more than 2 doctors per high speed dental machine. With a small student-to-instructor ratio, the attendee will have ample time over two days to develop a solid competency in oral surgery techniques under the direction of a top boarded veterinary dentist.
